Teachers Pension - what happens to a 'returner'?

Just wondering if anyone can tell me whether, if I returned to teaching, I would be entitled to the same final salary scheme as I was on. I started teaching full time in 1993 and left in 2001, so I have 8 years pensionable service.
I was under the impression that new entrants do not get the same kind of pension, but am hoping that if I went back, it would be on the final salary scheme.

Because you have had a break of more than 5 years you would be returning under different conditions. see link below. I think you would have a 'mixed pension' in terms of benefits.
