day off guilt

Does anyone else suffer day off guilt? Im just waiting to phone in sick- a miscarriage last month has left me really drained and I now have a Uti, an ear infection and I think I've got the lovely sickness bug that was doing the rounds.
I'm in no state to tackle my class, but I just feel so guilty, like I should just tough it out for 2 more days.
Tell me I'm not a terrible person?

You are definitely not a terrible person! You can only do so much and you have exceeded that. Go to bed and sleep. Your class will manage for two days. I'm a teacher and know all about the guilt. Be kind to yourself.

I'm sorry about your miscarriage Thanks

You're not a terrible person. Tell them you'll be off today AND tomorrow and then relax. Did you take time off for the miscarriage? Are you getting support with dealing with it?

Thanks! I rang in at 8, then went back to sleep and just woke up.
I had 1 day off with my miscarriage (I only work pt) and the last sick day I took was 2 years ago, so not too bad!
Just need to get better. Left my laptop at work so I can't even catch up with work, probably a good thing!
