I'm knackered already... Anyone else?

Two days of teaching in. Am knackered. 18 years into teaching. Argh!

Our teachers have been fab this week - classrooms looking lovely, pegs, trays, lockers all labelled, today we had a meet the teacher chat ( juniors )

I'm so impressed

Also the letter came out detailing all the clubs offered in lunchtime & after school
I'm in awe at the organisation & dedication of the teachers who do this

Yup as a music teacher I have a club on every lunchtime too (getting too old and knackered for this!)

Yep.
4 days in here (and 15 years of teaching) and I've been falling into bed exhausted each night.

On top of that, I had forgotten how much walking I do. Round and round and round my classroom I go, up and down stairs to get to the hall/staffroom/office etc.

I sit down on an evening fine, but when I try and get up again it feels like my legs have worn down and I can hardly move.

I'm getting a pedometer to keep track of how far I walk on an average day, out of interest.

Yep, shattered. Kids were back Monday, so been a full week, 2 late meetings and there's another seven weeks til half term....

Me! 12 weeks pregnant - post 40. Just about managing, but it is taking its toll.

I've only taught for 1 hour this term & I'm exhausted! Spent the rest of my time doing paperwork/ sorting out 1 particular lovely.....

Only person more exhausted seems to be DS, who feel asleep on the sofa this afternoon.

Absolutely exhausted, I'm in year 6 and have an action plan for year 6 that is a mile long, to get them ready for sats. On top of that, lots of data analysis and other adminy stuff that must get done. Thank goodness there is half term to look forward to for catching up =)

Yep, 3 days into teaching and it is like I've never been off!

FE here, languages and 18 years into teaching too.

Still love it but I have piles of paperwork and marking of diagnostic tests to do already.

Totally exhausted. I've dropped out of several gym classes over the past two weeks. I'm a secondary teacher and this year I've somehow ended up with two full days and I'm doing two quite demanding extra curricular activities - one is a AS level.

Only 2 full days? How have you managed that? I work four in a row one week and have two in the other week! I want your timetable.

I have the correct amount of PPA and 'frees'. Our timetabler does his best to ensure that you get a maximum of one full day and he's usually very good at doing so.
