I had an email from the parents of one of my form on Monday asking for a meeting. Amongst the lots of things we discussed they said thank you for the time and attention I give my tutees. At the end of a very busy day (induction day) it was lovely to hear something positive.
I think teachers and parents need to be better at communicating positives rather than just the negatives - or maybe that's just my school.

Can I share my Happy Story too please?

New into my post mid-year and was briefed about which parents were more demanding than others. One of the tricky ones has been in contact regularly with gripes about this, that and the other...

The Head showed me a looooooong e-mail that they'd sent today, saying how brilliant I'd been for their child and how generally wonderful I was!

Could have knocked me sideways. :-) That's going in my NQT evidence file for sure!
