Ugh. Needlands. He was my PGCE tutor and was sooooo up himself.

Were you doing drama before? Are you going back to the same school?

If not, then have a look at how local schools (or the school you're going to) deal with drama - Gove is obviously trying to sideline it.

I can't say I recommend a theory book at all - schools treat drama differently, IME. At my current school, we do a wide variety of stuff in drama - from basic skills through to exploring ishoos through improvisation and scripts. At KS4, we do both GCSE and BTEC (Performing Arts) so I would advise someone applying to my school to become familiar with specs for both courses...

PM if you want me to be more specific.

About to return after two academic years - a move away and a difficult pregnancy and on maternity leave now.

Can you tell what's the latest best Drama theory book to read?

And what's the best book to read about pastoral roles?

Wide I know!
