Has anyplace heard about the planned NUT strike? I have overheard that it will be for three days. We can't all afford three days loss of pay

Three days? Fucking hell. That is a lot of money. Sad Sad

Our rep is going to a meeting in London to get some details. We are all being squeezed (apart from the MPs who will vote for some mega rise) but this is ludicrous

Is it about the appraisal and capability policy? Our school have been balloted by NUT and NASWT regional reps for a school strike, which I haven't heard of before. The NUT rep said we would still be paid. Not sure how that would work, as I missed the meeting (so didn't cast my vote).

I think the pension is still to be solved. If you go on strike you are not paid for those days

It's about the changes to pay - performance related pay, not necessarily being on the same point on the scale if you move schools, etc.
