(Deliberately posted in a normally low traffic forum).

BBC report on the publication of pictures of Prince Harry naked on a US website.

Would you be tempted to google and look?

AngelWreakinHavoc Wed 22-Aug-12 17:02:59

haha yes! I just did blush

Nothing really interesting just his ass grin

OneMoreChap Wed 22-Aug-12 17:03:18

I did, as it happens. Mostly to see what all the fuss is about. You can see his bum - and cupped bits.

Like one of the protection officers said "He's a young soldier; he has lots of testosterone. There's only so far you can protect him"

Daft to let someone get a shot of his bits, mind.

PippiLongShocking Wed 22-Aug-12 17:05:12

I saw them on twitter. They are worth googling. He's very fit and you can't see the crown jewels.blush

hf128219 Wed 22-Aug-12 17:07:10

Strictly speaking this could damage his military career. It is not conduct deemed to be suitable for an Officer!

I have this page open now and thought I wonder if anyones posted yet? grin

I did blush

But I dont think they are genuine.
Yes it sort of looks like him but I do not think he wold put himself in that position.

They are NOT clear at all and are VERY blury! could be any look alike which I'm sure there are a few of.

goingtoofast Wed 22-Aug-12 17:13:24

You don't have a clear view of his face, could be someone else.

hf128219 Wed 22-Aug-12 17:13:55

Clarence House have confirmed they are genuine.

Piffpaffpoff Wed 22-Aug-12 17:15:15

I did! Think St James' Palace have already confirmed it's him.

hf I just saw that blush

He does look very fit I must admit wink
Although if I had naked pictures of Harry I would keep them to myself

SrirachaGirl Wed 22-Aug-12 17:16:42

Read about that in the Daily Mail one of the papers this morning so naturally I googled the pictures immediately. You can't really see anything but the whole scene is a bit sketchy, lots of trollops in bikinis...I have trouble imagining that Harry would be dim enough to let himself be photographed in such a way. What was he thinking?

EdithWeston Wed 22-Aug-12 17:19:52

I was left wondering what the rules and scoring system for strip billiards might be...

On one hand, it's a pretty shocking invasion of his privacy. On the other, it might brighten the day a bit!

Ooh, just have. Thanks for the tip-off. wink

feelingfull Wed 22-Aug-12 17:21:07

already did, as soon as I heard

hf128219 Wed 22-Aug-12 17:24:02

The only rule I know is that the winning player removes the losing players clothes - and can then rub the entire area that is on display with their hands!!

EdithWeston Wed 22-Aug-12 17:25:13

Sorry, I've just spotted that there's a thread in AIBU already - subject not obvious from thread title.

RedBlanket Wed 22-Aug-12 17:26:36

It would be very disrespectful and a terrible invasion of that -fit-- young man's privacy so I obviously have

I would have thought getting drunk and getting naked are par for the course with most young men in the army.

Boyonce Wed 22-Aug-12 17:28:14

Of course, who wouldn't?!

TheDoctrineOfEnnis Wed 22-Aug-12 17:32:14

Sriacha, why trollops?

EdithWeston Wed 22-Aug-12 18:21:05

A second AIBU thread as just popped up "AIBU to just love Prince Harry"

I think getting naked is only compulsory in the Marines.

And trollop is a lovely word!

EdithWeston Thu 23-Aug-12 07:50:46

And yet another thread.

Popular chap! There was also a long thread in Chat last night, but I won't link that as it'll go phut idc.

hf128219 if you look at this thread again, are you willing to share just how you know about the conventions of strip billiards?

hf128219 Thu 23-Aug-12 07:56:30

Edith Played it once at Balmoral

twofingerstoGideon Thu 23-Aug-12 07:57:24

Yes, Sriacha, why 'trollops'? I would like to know, too.

twofingerstoGideon Thu 23-Aug-12 07:59:16

Edith, 'trollop' is a very judgmental word, too. I noticed that where Harry just has a 'bit too much testosterone' and it's all explained away as a bit of a larf, the girls are 'trollops'.

(Waits to be told to 'lighten up...')

RabidAnchovy Thu 23-Aug-12 08:11:07

Is there a link? I am in a bit of a rush today and can not spend all day on google grin

RedBlanket Thu 23-Aug-12 08:14:38

Rabid - google tmz and prince Harry. Seriously not hard to find.

Bertrude Thu 23-Aug-12 08:15:33

First thing I did when I heard about it!

Obviously from my phone though, because googling naked photos of royalty on a work computer may be deemed inappropriate usage of company equipment...

imogengladhart Thu 23-Aug-12 08:16:03

Message withdrawn at poster's request.

EdithWeston Thu 23-Aug-12 22:15:08

It's about become even easier to find: unless something happens in the next couple of hours, the BBC is reporting that The Sun will publish them here tomorrow. This follows a Scottish website publishing them today.

RedBlanket Thu 23-Aug-12 22:23:07

Love the DM faux outrage at them being printed but then giving a full list of all the sites you can find them, and thumbnails showing where to look on google images.

EdithWeston Thu 23-Aug-12 22:24:05

Another AIBU thread - about The Sun again

twofingerstoGideon: trollop has no perjorative connotations whatsoever in my idiolect, so I think you are wrong to assume it must be a loaded term.

TheDoctrineOfEnnis Thu 23-Aug-12 22:27:37

What does it mean to you Edith, is it a direct swap for girl? Genuine question as to me it is quite pejorative.

twofingerstoGideon Fri 24-Aug-12 00:16:26

Most people would use it pejoratively I think DoctrineofEnnis

Edith In most sociolects and dialects it would be used to mean a slut or prostitute, as you probably know. Strange that you've ascribed it a different meaning in your idiolect. What does it mean to you then?

twofingerstoGideon Fri 24-Aug-12 00:16:51

Genuinely interested by the way...

seeker Fri 24-Aug-12 00:24:10

Of course. I pay for them- I think I have wright to some fun sometimes. Otherwise what am I subsidising?

NoComet Fri 24-Aug-12 00:24:29

Yes, I might Harry's not my type, but a certain tennis player without his clothes ongrin

Why not, DH is always googling his favourite female celebs in the hope of finding them minus their clothes.

Anyhow, having just returned from the med where most people, regardless of age or shape, have had much on, naked pictures are hardly exciting.

NoComet Fri 24-Aug-12 00:26:08

Haven't had much on, DD1 and (in the sea) my self included.

EdithWeston Fri 24-Aug-12 07:57:56

It's an unmarked term for a female who unashamedly enjoys sex. I am equally surprised you have not heard the non-perjorative sense - a term I rather like as I think the language is short of such words. I am hoping I will see it move from unmarked to actually approving term in my lifetime - the language is even more short of them.

Back to the subject of thread - The Sun has published with lots of flimsy argumentation about the public's 'right to know' - can anyone say why the detail of his bodily appearance is remotely relevant to anything to do with his constitutional position? I don't mean describing what he gets up to - words can do that. I mean why the photos?

I can't protest by not buying The Sun, as I don't buy it anyhow. I do think this is an attempt to restore the status quo ante before Leveson conclusions thus giving the tabloids a path straight back to intrusion.

TheDoctrineOfEnnis Fri 24-Aug-12 08:07:04

Thanks Edith. I'm glad it has that meaning for you, hope it spreads!

I too will resolutely not buy The Sun, same as every day! I wonder if it will really get them more readers today as so many people can access online anyway.

OneMoreChap Fri 24-Aug-12 08:14:19

I'd never heard the non-perjorative sense either.

Always irritated me how fewer sexual partners was meant to be good for women but bad for men. I never slept with a virgin woman and was very glad of it; it's a good thing if at least one of the partners knows what they are doing - and the more experienced they are the better they can make the act - and you as a partner.

I haven't bought Murdoch rags for years.

TheDoctrineOfEnnis Fri 24-Aug-12 09:24:41

I also didn't look at the free Sun in the coffee shop

<hitting Rupert where it counts, me>

Edith, do you mean that Leveson wouldn't be able to consider this incident as the evidence gathering has finished?

jetstar Fri 24-Aug-12 09:34:23

I wouldn't have thought of it TBH but on the basis of this thread I have grin not that bothered really, just pics of a naked guy.

Sglefrwr Tue 28-Aug-12 02:25:29

edith constitutional position?

I can think of a few positions I'd like young Harry in wink
