The litter tray

Stressed Cat

My cat seems quite stressed out at the moment. She is 7 years old and is literally pulling some of her fur out (only a small patch). She is reluctant to go outside and has done a poo in the house (something she never does).

Does anyone have any advice or tips on how to calm her? Any experience of diffusers?

Thanks

What is outside? For example, any new, possibly mean, cats on the block?

And does she have an inside tray?

PS - how does she exit the house? If by cat flap, is it a chip one?

(I'm assuming she's neutered, vaccinated etc etc.)

Hi - thanks for your reply Smile

There is a newish mean cat but I think it's also the fireworks at the moment. Not sure what I can do about that.

Yes she is nutuered and vaccinated. Checked by the vet last month and said to be very healthy (with good teeth for her age Grin)

We don't have a flap - we just let her out and in but this has been the same since we got her when she was a kitten. She has a litter tray but never uses it.

Try a pet remedy diffuser. It smells a bit but my girls were very chilled out with it. Feliway is useless. Zykelene is quite good as well.
