Apparently it's just been licenced for cats here in Germany. Our vet has clearly bowed to pressure and admirted that Frontline isn't as effective now, but no idea why he's recommending this instead of Advocate or advantage. One spot-on lasts 3 months, but I suppose that's a pretty hefty dose at the beginning. Googling people's experiences comes up with some quite scary stuff for the dog equivalent, which has been around for 2 years. Some dogs have died of organ failure soon after the application, but for dogs it's in the form of a chew. And who knows if it's correlation or causation. So anyone heard of this stuff? I've got a packet here and Archcat is due a dose on Tuesday.

Title should read spot-on...

Can't you ask the vet for Advocate? It works ,my flea bag plays with the big boys and keeps bringing them in but they die off and none in the house.

The vet refuses to stock Advocate - in fact for the last two years he's refused to admit that Frontline is anything but perfect. We stick with this vet because it's otherwise a good practice.
