Topical treatment for flea bite allergy

Hi.
New rescue cat has a flea allergy (strongly suspected by vet). No fleas currently and has just had second dose of Advocate. Vet just advised keeping on top of the flea prevention.
My question: is there a cream I can use on her rear end, above the tail, to ease the itch. Bald patches getting worse and she's irritable when stroked near there. Forgot to ask vet

Apart from this, she's lovely and has fitted right in (some of you may remember we had our beloved 20 year old PTS a couple of months ago)

I don't know but I'm watching with interest. One of ours has to have regular steroid injections from the vet due to severe reaction to flea bites.

Ask vet for Isaderm, needs to be prescribed (antibiotic + steroid gel). If the cat has been seen recently and they know what the problem is they may prescribe without seeing her again.
If her anal glands were not checked at the time she was seen worth getting that checked also.

Thanks

Milo - her anal glands were emptied but vet thinks it's fleas not that. I knew that was a possibility

Will call vet
