Our beautiful boy was killed on the road 6 months ago and I've grieved for him ever since, but the house didn't feel like a home without a cat. So randomly tonight a friend posted that she desperately needed to rehome her 1 year old brother and sister cats, child has developed a severe allergy and can't have them in the house. Long story short, they're coming home tomorrow! I can't wait to have cat cuddles again!

Thank you so much, I'm so excited! I've just told the kids and they're so happy. Eldest DS said "we'll always miss our boy, but I'm so happy Mum!" I'll put pics up as soon as they arrive. I can't put the pics she sent as they're very identifying. A beautiful ginger boy and a black/tortie looking girl. I can't wait!

Sounds fab! I lasted 3 weeks between my old girl passing away and getting a new one! The house felt awful without a cat in it. I completely understand your excitement.

It's hard going when you lose a much loved pal, it's only now I was starting to feel ready, yet I knew the house felt wrong without him. My beautiful boy got my son to speak, he wouldn't talk at all before I got the cat. They were thick as thieves and went everywhere together.

When the time is right, its right! Your old boy sounds very special. I hope the new ones settle in Ok.

It was 6 months before I was ready too. When it's right, it's right... especially when feline forces send some your way.

This is not a place mark for the pictures. 😄

Thanks, I was feeling a little guilty, but you've both reassured me! He was, a very special boy, I miss him so much, but I'm ready to love two new wee beauties too. I'll post pics as soon as I get them Grin

They're here! They've settled in well so far, lovely natured wee sweeties. The ginger is the boy and the black/ginger is the girl. So happy Smile

Lovely pair - and pretty confident, it looks like? Smile

Thank you, yes they are very confident!! They've had a good rootle round the house, and some food and belly rubs. They're not sure of the dog yet, although they're used to dogs, but I'm sure they'll all get on fine in time. They're great with the kids, it probably helps that my kids have grown up with cats and know how to treat them. I'm so happy, finally it feels like a home again!
