Kitten vaccine reaction?

He has had a respiratory infection for a couple of weeks, antibiotics etc. But was deemed finally well enough for his first shot on Thursday.

He isn't himself now at all, crying when touched and hasn't moved off the settee all evening, normally he is careering round.

He seemed fine earlier, eating and playing.

Is it just a case of waiting it out a few days? Hate seeing him like this Sad.

Possibly yes, ours reacted like it to his boosters at 18months old. It shook us up but after two days he was ok.

How is he this morning?.

He is back to running round but not eating much and still crying if touched. I'll keep a close eye today.

Horrible seeing them like this, isn't it?

Oh gosh, I've had exactly the same this weekend. He's fine now, and seems to have forgiven me but I had over 36 hours of high anxiety.

He was a poorly kitten, so I was already on edge.

Just make sure he gets enough liquid and he'll be right as rain very soon.

His nose boogies have started again, which was one of the signs of the infection a few weeks ago, I hope he isn't going to come down with it again. Sad.

Glad yours is ok now missterri

How is he today, Anne? I still panic slightly at each sneeze and he's 10 months old now. Mine came for a very long snuggle last night, which is rare, and today he is tearing round the house and garden with his 'sister'.

He seems back to normal now thanks. Tearing around and jumping at everyone Grin. Panic over, just the next lot to go in 3 weeks.

You should probably mention this to the vet when you take him back for his 2nd lot.
