That Bastard Cat

I've posted before about That Bastard Cat (TBC) coming in and helping himself to my cat's food.

Well this morning, at about 2.30am I woke up and couldn't get back to sleep so I went to get a drink.

I found

a) my ct asleep on my suit jacket - yes I should have [hung it up
b) TBC in a box with one of my cat's toys
d) a very dead blackbird who had either put up a huge fight or had been played with as half the room is now furnished in feathers

Is he bringing in birds to seduce madam?

Is my home how a cat pick up and socialise space?

I'm glad it is getting colder, I can start sleeping whith the window closed

Maybe you should just adopt it lol. It sounds like he might be friends with your cat :D

They seem to get on at least. Wink

Do you have a microchip flap?

Your cat might be on the game. Perhaps the blackbird was payment in kind.

I know we don't want to think this about Our Beloveds, but she hasn't shown any signs of catnip addiction has she? This can push a cat to do things they would never have considered.

There's sure to be a support group somewhere.

Maybe the present was for you?! Sounds like he feels at home in your house! If he hasn't got a nice owner already he seems to have chosen you for the new post!!

He has an owner, he sometimes appears in a collar.

As for catnip addiction - nope she is one of those rare cats who doesn't react to it.

No cat flap, I leave my bedroom window open if I'm in. I'm going to start closing it.

The bird was a thank you gift! My cats used to thank me like this. Very proudly showing me what They had provided even if it used to upset me.

Maybe your cat caught the bird and used it to lure TBC into the house, then showered him with largesse in the form of toys and boxes to get him to stay?!

This thread makes me happy that I just find muddy twigs lovingly placed on my bed.

Is there a possibility of you installing a cat flap that you can lock when she comes in of an evening? Or even better, a Sureflap?

If it helps I spent half an hour sat on the sofa next to my sleeping cat. Except my cat was outside and the sleeping cat belongs to my neighbour Grin
Neighbours cat is getting on a bit and used to come into mine a lot for a quiet kip away from the children
