Tales of destruction welcome. No judging if your cat understands the phrase "Shut the fuck up, Please just be quiet!"

There must be more than two of us! I'm the owner of TWO of these gorgeous little shit-bags. Things they have destroyed so far include : stair carpets, about 20 odd socks (Sheldon likes to drag one into the litter tray to wipe his arse on if there are any on the airer) numerous packets from the food cupboard - they have to open the packets to see if they contain dreamies.. Bathroom door must always remain closed, if its open we lose the toilet paper. I'm sure there is more...

I have two of the little monsters! They are gorgeous and such fun but have wrecked my brand new carpet in less than a year, will not stay off my kitchen surfaces and think everything belongs to them!

When I collected them from the breeder he gave me all the feeding advice etc and then as I was getting in the car he said "oh, one more thing - you live in their house now". Never a truer word...

Me! New sofas bought and in two weeks, looked...lived in. Why must claws be sharpened everywhere except scratching posts etc? She's currently under the covers in bed with me as is our Saturday morning ritual.

I have no toilet rolls that aren't in some kind of sealed container. My Bengal has figured out how to bump into the toilet door with just enough force and in just the right place to pop the latch. Sigh.
She does however come and talk to me in the office at 11:45 every day - lunchtime for cats apparently. My office chair has has tiny little claw marks on the left arm, just where she comes to talk.
I also have an Abyssinian, and in some respects he has the more challenging behaviour.

I'm not a Bengal owner but my mum has 2, they really are something else. My favourite game with them is fetch.... I have never seen a cat play fetch before but when you chuck their little ball both scramble for it, place it in your hand and look expectantly at you to throw it again. They are such a fun breed of cat, but yes destructive too.

As ours was a stray who adopted us I'm not quite sure if he's a Bengal or a Mau . He's quite a character! Hmm

Oh and he'll often jump in the shower with us, LOVES splashing around. Gave me quite a shock the first time I turned round and there he was!

Signing in. SmokingCat has recently learned how to open door handles which is interesting....

We lived with no handle on the utility door for 3 years because dcat jumps up to wake us up at night, the door locks with a key so we took to removing the door handle every night so he couldn't twang it.

Last week Dh had the genius idea of fixing it so it looks normal from the kitchen but the other side it points down, you push it left to open the door.

No more twanging and no more visitors pulling the handle off because it wasn't screwed on.

We timed him once, 45 minutes before he gave up.

Hello, guessing you knew i had them from my username! One old boy who just screams to come in, then screams to go back out a minute later. And the terrorist, stunning as he is there is no way he would come back in one peace if he went out. He is a nutter, my poor dog is driven bonkers by him. However, he is so beautiful he gets away with murder!

I have two! One is actually a real sweetie and no trouble at all. The other is an absolute TERROR. His latest thing is to open the dehumidifier, quite an impressive feat without opposable thumbs, and drink from it. Then tip the rest all over the carpet!
No lids are safe, not even for a second.
All glasses of water are his.
Still in bed at 6am? He will kindly jump on your chest to make sure you're up on time!
The wardrobe is great fun, all those dangly clothes to climb up!

I have a Bengal cross, can I join? He seems slightly less destructive than our late Siamese though. Although he eats everything! Is that normal for the breed?

Now come on you lot,you can't just talk about them, I want pics!

I don't have a Bengal but I will have one within the next few years.
I currently have a 21 year old cat who is very timid & not good with other cats so it wouldn't be fair to add another just yet.

Really Watcher? You wouldn't want a nice low maintenance cat?

Signing in. We have a snow marbled girl. Was a breeding queen before rehoming, now rules our house with a rod of iron. We love her!

We have one. Used to have two, but one disappeared. He hates us. He is only quiet if he is asleep. The rest of the time he howls. He is loathed by all our neighbours for fighting. He won't be picked up or cuddled. We try to love him but he is not keen. Shame really. I love cats. Hmm

We had 2 but sadly lost the female 2 months ago to a stroke.

Now she's gone it's clear she was the destroyer. Both of them had a fixation with kitchen roll and like to hug it while kicking he'll out of it with back legs.

Breeder warned us they weren't lap cats, but didn't tell them.
