The litter tray

My lovely old cat has gone missing

Not sure why I'm posting really, maybe to hear some stories with a positive outcome or maybe to hear from people who have experienced something similar?

My lovely 14 year old cat who has lived with me since he was 7 weeks old has gone missing. He's been in renal failure for the last 4.5 years but recent tests showed very little decline in his condition (stage 2).

He went missing Tuesday which was a hot day. It wouldn't be that unusual for him not to come home at night (if he'd eaten) and would always be waiting to come indoors in the morning. There was no sign of him the next day. I knocked on doors asking people to check sheds/garages/gardens as he may have looked for somewhere cool to sleep. Nobody has seen him and the vets haven't had a cat meeting his description brought in either. As time is going on I can only think that he had decided it was his time and gone away. I miss him so much as he's been there for me through many life events. I still hope he will return but need to face up to the fact that it's getting less likely. I've been out searching bushes etc in the surrounding area and also put posters up.

Anyone been through similar and had their cat come home later? Or is the alternative more likely? Sad

I feel your pain & anguish am going through similar.
I hope your cat returns home soon.
Check with vets, animal charities, put posters up & drop leaflets through doors. Drop something nearby with your scent.
Register him on all the lost pet sites and social media pages. Don't give up hope. I'm hoping he's back safely where he belongs.
