The litter tray

Does my kitten need to see the vet for this?

My kitten came in last night with a cut to her ear. It was bleeding but seems dry now however there's a small part of her ear coming away from the rest of her ear. It's really tiny and isn't bothering her but I don't know if it will heal.

I would bathe it in some salt water and keep an eye on it. Sounds like she has been in a fight and another cat has caught her ear. If it is only a small rip it should heal well if kept clean.

This happened to my cat, he came running up to the bedroom stood on the bed and shook his head. There was blood all over my freshly laundered white bedding! I pinned him down and washed his ear with water dipped in cotton wool and wiped it over with an antiseptic wipe. He was fine but had a permanent nick in his ear.

She should be fine. If you bathe it use just water or salt water - not antiseptic.

I would also clean it and keep an eye - if it seems like it's getting worse or not healing then you can take her in, but otherwise the vet probably won't do much more than that.
