My 16 week old corniche Rex licks my husband and I alot. More so me than him. It's mainly my hands face and neck. Is there any way I can stop her? I've read it could be stress related, so not keen on pushing her off me or telling her off if I can help it. She tends to snuggle on our chest/under neck/shoulders- I've been told it's a breed thing.
she is a house cat, and is left for 8 hours a day. She has plenty of toys, including interactive ones. We make sure we play at least 2x 30 mins a day. She used to sleep in with us, but tends to sleep on my face, which isn't conducive to breathing! So now is kicked out at night. I'm worried she's stressed and bored hence excessive licking.

Meant to say she can be left for 8 hours a day. We try to work from home a couple times a week each so she's not left alone so young.

I've got a Devon Rex, and they have fairly similar temperaments, because when they were discovered in the 50s, they were bred together on the assumption they both had the same gene that made them curly.

My Little Monsieur liked licking us when he was a kitten, I'd wake up to what felt like my back being sandpapered. He's grown out of it now at 2 years.

Have you thought about getting her a friend for company? They're known for getting on with other cats and dogs. Because of their long toes, they can almost use them like little hands. Give her a few drinking straws, and you'll see how dexterous she is.

Can we have a picture please? Smile

*Is there a reason she can't go outside?
