My 9yo skinny fluff ball is spending her first night in the vets after we rushed her in this morning with laboured breathing. They've started 2 types of antibiotics and have said they need to see improvement in 24 hours or they'd try putting fluid in her lungs and sucking it out.
Any (happy) stories to be shared?? So worried about my pfb.

Cats bounce back fast & 9 isn't old these days.

I think one of the vets on here said pneumonia is hard to spot, even in her own cat.

Update - she came home yesterday after just one night in the vets. 7 days of antibiotics.
There's a tablet, which we can manage, but also liquid one. Even if we've managed to get her to take it she drools and spits it out.

Any tips? She's not a big eater at the best of times.

Also, our other cat has been hissing and lashing out. We're keeping them separate to reduce stress, but any ideas what's causing this? Is she scared? Wants attention? Doesn't like the smell? Can they smell illness?

Thank you

Probably the vet smell. Can the tablet be crushed? I mix tabs in little tins of gourmet.

I'm glad she's out already.
