We have an almost 3 year old boy cat. DSis's cat had kittens a couple of months ago and today I brought one home. He's bloody gorgeous! However, DH not happy and hasn't spoken to me since he came home. Will he come round???? I hope so.

No he won't, your marriage is far more important, so to help you out I will keep the gorgeous little bundle of squidginess kitten.

You're welcome.

That is one very cute kitten. I'm sure he will come round. Ginger cats are the best. 🐈

He is very sweet but adopting an animal is the sort of thing you should get agreement on before you do it. Did you consult him about it at all....?

I think you will find that kitten wants to live with me actually. Envy

Did you even mention it to him?

Yeah, I consulted informed him weeks ago that I was going to get one of them and he said no.

He's too soft to stay annoyed at me for long.

And no! Sorry, he's mine!! GrinGrinGrin

Did you actually discuss together becoming kitten slaves before getting Apex?

Sorry, Xpost. Okay, fair enough.

In my experience your dh will pretend he is cross/reluctant and then you will find him cuddling the kitten when he thinks no-one is looking. This will soon move to cuddling/hogging the kitten.

If I am wrong, I could test if this out on my dh again

What a sweetie, I'm only allowed 2, I would have a house full given the chance.. They're much nicer than dh....

So you asked him, he said no and you got another pet anyway. I'd go completely nuts.

SweetieDrops · 09/05/2016 18:58

Aww he's gorgeous Smile.

I don't think adopting another cat is that big a deal if you have one already, he won't stay mad for long hopefully.

I'm so confused.. Potter is right. Becoming kitcat slave without one's consent is a bit pants. They live 20 yrs.

Betty I'm hoping that will be the case!!

He's currently sleeping on the edge of the bath (the kitten)

Stop fighting over my pussy!!! Confused

This kitten is going to claim your DH. They have a way of picking the doubter for lap time, strokes and snuggles.

Just give the gorgeous little ball of fluff a treat whenever he sits on DH's lap Grin

If the other was elderly I'd understand, but he's 3, adding 1 to the clan is neither here nor there. Mine are 2yo and 9mo and will last as long as each other hopefully!

I agree that ginger are the best and that kitten is adorable.
But why did your DH say no, and why did you go ahead anyway?
Why ask and then ignore? I'd have understood if you'd gone ahead without a conversation, because some things are too wonderful to say no to, but you asked him.

Meh, like to see "wife got kitten" on a divorce petition. It's not like you put the savings on black is it?.

Gorgeous kitten.
