The litter tray

Cat not using litter tray anymore

We have a neutered male who now only goes to the toilet outside. This worries me for 2 reasons.
I really am hoping his new litter tray isn't the neighbours garden I have been round them all to say if he is using their gardens we will come round and clear it up.
Also with him being male I've read lots of threads on here about them being prone to blockages I worry I would be unaware of this as I now have no idea how often he goes. He has 2 pouches of wet a day and a small tub of applaws for supper. He has a small amount of dried food available all day he doesn't eat a huge amount of it.
His wet food has a very high meat content and doesn't seem very wet so I add a small amount of water to it is there anything else I can do to make sure he gets enough fluid as he never drinks from his water bowl.

I think you're doing well - I'd frankly pick up the dry food though. Cats don't need it. Just let him eat more wet if he wants it. Also, foods with cranberry extract keep the urinary tract healthy.

No male cat I've lived with ever had a blockage. I am pretty sure they're relatively rare, actually.

I doubt he has a blockage maybe he's just decided outdoors makes a better loo.
I think you would notice a change in behaviour if he had any problems. Our previous cat had bladder stones and he started trying to pee in random places eg. bath, corner of the room and only a bit came out.
