My kitten was neutered last week and just wondering on time frame for fur to grow back.

After all of these years, I'm not sure - it usually 'softens up' pretty quickly but I guess I stop noticing. Is it a girl?

Oh - and does the kitten have any Himalayan gene in it eg Siamese etc? If so, they might have a short-lived darker patch there (from the colder temperature) but that should gradually even out with the rest of the nearby coat.

PS - a month or two?

Good luck. My tortie terrors are having a punch up on the bed at the moment. I would say a good few weeks.

And you have broken the rules of the litter tray. There must be pictures!

You should stop noticing it soon enough. Smile

They will soon develop a fuzz to cover it a bit. Unless they chew off the glue like one of mine and have to be stapled!

5 months and counting for my skinny black kittie. As in there is fur, but it's definitely not fully regrown and you can still see where the patch was. She's very unfuzzy, though, sleek and shiny.

I suppose cats are like people - although there would be an average, some would have faster/slower/denser etc growth than others. Smile

He looks ....'purposeful'. Smile Was he contemplating something at the time?

My (7 month old) calico girl's fur was lovely and peach-fuzzy within a week, short-but-still-noticeable after four weeks and now, three months on, you can't tell which bit was shaved. I think it was about 8 weeks before you had to look hard to tell she'd been done.

And as I know the rules, gratuitous cat pics...this is her and her brother last night...today they are being little terrors and keep stalking each other and rampaging through the house like tiny elephants

I can just about make out a little darkness but that's really straining.

Lovely pair. Smile (Especially when they're asleep I'd guess?)
