The litter tray

Neighbour's cat has installed itself - what should I do?

Every time I open my front door, next door's cat tries to dash in. She doesn't have a cat flap next door and her owner is out, so tonight she slipped in and installed herself in front of my fire.

I'm not used to cats but as its freezing outside, I don't have the heart to throw her out. But I (obviously) have no litter tray so is she going to wee everywhere? Also, am I being daft thinking that it's too cold for her outside? What should I do - should I just put her out?

I see what you mean - she's a lovely girl. Do you know if your neighbour uses a tray for her? And what time they're likely to return?

Do they ever let her in? It's so cold to be outside.

I'd let her in too.

Ooh, right in front of the stove. Lovely : ) She looks like some headrubs would be the way forward.

You should feed her some chicken or tuna and find her a blanket, cats like a fleecy blanket!

It's far too cold for her to be outside. Yes to headrubs, fleecy blanket and tuna.

Lolz....I'm just wondering where my cat is Grin. By all means let him/her relax in front of the fire but please please don't feed it (unless it's neglected and starving). Do you know for sure about the cat flap? We have a perfectly good working cat flap, but our cat likes to use the front door and often waits outside for us to return. I think he thinks the cat flap is beneath him.

Definitely don't feed it. You don't know if it has any medical issues etc.

Hehe aaargh our cat is exactly the same about the cat flap. Can't understand why we won't just be his doorman!
