Has anyone any experience or advice? My gorgeous cat is at the vets on a drip v dehydrated. Blood samples show diabetes. He has lost weight & is v thirsty. I'm heartbroken. Please can anyone advise me?

Poor you, Flee.

I've been lucky in that none of mine have ever had diabetes but here's some guidance on the topic - and I'm sure other posters or one of the vets who post will share their experiences later. Is he to have injections?

We had MolPol cat for 5 more happy years after he was diagnosed with diabetes at about 14/15. Had to do twice daily injections and some monitoring of diet but wasn't too difficult. Once vet gets him sorted and back in balance, you will be able manage his condition, honestly.
We all learned how to do the jabs by practising on an orange (!) and after his shocked face first few times, he just used to come and stand patiently waiting.
Loved that cat so much.
Good luck.
