Unsure of the cats age, we took him in when a family member died and she took him in as a stray we would guess around 12 to 14. The last week or so he has hardly touched his food and as a result has lost weight already. Its very unusual for him as he is constantly begging for food normally. Today he pood on the floor and it was slightly runny. Went out and he had attempted to go again in his litter tray but missed. Was a small amount of poo but very runny with a jelly like consistency. Any ideas anyone? Will be ringing my vets tomorrow!

I've no idea, but not eating for a week is quite serious. He definitely needs the vet tomorrow.

He might be constipated. They can still have drips around the mass. Hope people aren't reading and eating Envy

Definitely a trip to the vet. Let us know it goes.

Yes, diarrhea can be a sign of blockage, especially with the jelly consistency. Could be ingested hair. Is he drinking?

He really does need to be seen by a vet tomorrow.

Hope the old boy's OK.

He did do a poo earlier in the morning it was the 2nd that was jelly like. He has been drinking as much as normal as far as i can tell. I've been giving him chicken the last couple of days. Turns out however off your whiskas you might be theres always room for some m&s chicken! Will defo keep you posted.

Poorly boy was on a drip for the day the vet thought there was a problem with the liver but blood tests didn't seem to confirm it. He's also had antibiotics and he's hoping that will encourage him to feel better and eat again. He's ate little bits of food but even though he's begging for it now he's refusing the vets food, biscuits, felix and whiskas Hmm I've ran out of chicken so off to the shops for that tomorrow as a last resort!
