The litter tray

My kitten likes the tumble drier?

My youngest keeps going into the the tumble drier
I've already had the horror of switching it on on with her inside it! Thank god I was there at the time!
Please tell me she'll grow out of it!

Hopefully she will, more or less - but I would still get into the routine of ensuring you and any others check before putting on anything electrical - eg including the oven and the washing machine!

Is there anywhere else which is warm and dark which you can big up as a substitute? Something like an airing cupboard for example.

Yes, but the airing cupboard is the domain of my other female cat!
My baby cat is part Siamese and lovely! I've always had rescue cats that are generic cats! But I find her (adorable and very loving!) and she delights in upsetting the other cats!

Is that what they do? She came to me as undernourished and in need of lots of tlc. She's really small for her age. Is it because she has Siamese in her?

Not in my experience - at least not the tumble drier as such - but Siamese do seem to need to keep their love tanks fully topped up at all times. How about the bed as a safe warm place ? Does she sleep with you? My boys always have so their motto seems to be 'If in doubt, go to bed!'

Sorry - I misread that. You were asking about size? Not entirely, I think. Siamese aren't huge cats - they tend to be sleek and elegant rather than bulky - but neither are they very small for their age. That would more likely be other factors.

Yes she was in the washing machine at one point, she didn't get washed!
I Iove her so much.

Make sure that no-one puts stuff in the washing machine prior to washing - eg by instituting a laundry basket system. A cold metal inside is a lot less attractive than a big heap of clothes that smell of her people.

(And also rules for the drier.)

She always sleeps with us or my twins, I work nights and she will sleep with me till I get up. She is adorable! We love her to bits! Are we over indulging her? Be honest.

Not in the least. Smile In this household, Siamese have automatic sleeping rights with their human - to the point, in fact, that being Excluded From The Presence is regarded by them as the most serious punishment.

There's nothing like having a soft warm snooze with a cat on a chilly winter morning or Sunday afternoon. I couldn't function without it and I know that the boys couldn't either.

Yescozie we're very careful about that, since she went in the tumble drier I'm very vigilant of her going on the washing machine. My previous cats haven't done that. Why has she done this? It's odd, my other cats didn't! Is there an explanation for it?

Not that I know of, really - although other posters may know of one. Some cats just seem to have odd habits.

Thank you cozie that makes sense to me. We adore our cats, they sleep with us night or day, DP and I love them to bits, but when we got Bettykitten she was so small and fragile. And then she nearly got washed and dried! She terrified us!l

She sounds adorable Smile

I don't think she'll grow out of it, so time to teach everyone to keep the washing machine/ tumble drier doors shut at all times! One of my cats will climb into the dishwasher given the chance so I always double check it before turning it on and don't leave the door open.

I have three cats, two of them don't do anything really unusual but one is a idiot. He will climb into anything and onto anything. He has been in the dryer, on top of the kitchen units, door frames all sorts. I thought I had lost him as a kitten then found him sleeping in the airing cupboard.
Some are just more naughty than others Grin
