The litter tray

Injury to paw - what should I do

My cat has a small wound to one of the pads on his front paw. He seems happy, eating, sleeping, purring. Do I need to get it checked at a vets? I'd rather leave it to heal if I can as he gets distressed in cat baskets and cars. We moved 2 months ago and we are not registered at a vets locally. Any advice??????

Personally, I'd take him in. Cats are good at masking pain, and will purr to self soothe.

You don't need to be registered at a vet for them to see you. Just have a look online to find one local to you, then ring them up for an appointment. I use Pets at Home's in-house vet. They're bloody great. Also open on Sundays, which comes in handy.

Thank you. One of my friends has just said the same. I didn't want to over react or put him through additional stress but I suspect you are right. There is a pets at home up the road from here I'll give them a ring.
