Can anyone recommend a good insurance provider for my 6 month kitten?

She has been vaccinated, spade and wormed.

Our two are insured with Argos, at about £6 a month each. They are 18mths old. Last year one of them was badly bitten and needed 2 X-rays and 6 weeks of antibiotics - over £750 in vet bills, and they paid up very promptly. Premium only went up a tiny bit this year. I can highly recommend them.

Does it cover life long conditions and what's the excess?

Sorry didn't spot your reply til today! It's lifetime cover, so as long as you keep renewing it covers existing conditions, though it's limited to £4000 per year per condition. You can opt for £7000 for a higher premium. The excess is about £65.

You can get similar cover with Petplan, - though the premiums are more expensive, the excess is lower, about £35 I think.

More Than insurance. Always been amazing, great staff and wonderful to me when I was sobbing down the phone re: cat and a bloody awful spinal lesion/paralysis.

Cheque in the post within ten days after she had £2,400 worth of treatment at the specialist vet.

I have used them for all three of my (accident prone) cats and I have never once been let down. Bloody marvellous company.
