The litter tray

Top entry cat litter box - does anyone know where I can get one in the UK

I have seen a great one by clevercat its $37.99 in the U.S but £80 on Amazon! Does anyone know where I can get on in the UK at a reasonable price?

My puppy keeps eating the cats poo and getting very sick, this seems to be the ideal answer.....it also prevents cat litter getting all over the floor.

thanks

How old is the cat? (I have reservations about a senior cat managing to get in to one of those and use it.)

I know that even the Americans moan about the price of them on Amazon dot com though - so if you're adamant, I'd suggest that you simply buy a (cheaper) lidded large plastic storage container and borrow the appropriate implement to saw out a shape in the top. (A litter tray is generally just a tough plastic receptacle without being in any way special and as far as I can see, the clevercat is just such a lidded receptacle minus some of its 'roof'. You'll probably find videos on youtube to assist you.)

she is only 2 so will be able to get in fine, at the moment I have her litter raised on a stool which is much higher, to stop the dog getting in there!

Have a quick google then - I'm sure you'll find that people are actually making the equivalents because those prices are plain daft.

I've heard of lots of people using deep plastic storage boxes. Even without a lid, although you may want to use one to stop the dog getting in there!!

You can buy it on Amazon.com and get it delivered to the UK. We just did that for another litter tray (with high sides) and it still worked out much cheaper than buying it on Amazon.co.uk.

I made one with a wilko storage box (£5) and door mat (80p).

It's brilliant and tracking has reduced.

And they've mostly got lids as well. Good bargain hunting.
