Monthly cat boxes

I have recently become aware that they are a thing!

A monthly subscription for your cat (or dog!) of a box full of goodies. Similar to the beauty ones I guess.

Does anyone already use one of these and, if so, which do you recommend?

TIA Smile

I'm pretty much a cynic on these things, I'm afraid. They'll likely be overpriced and aimed at the owners and not the cats. (Owners like to get parcels but I've usually found that cats are more interested in the cardboard boxes than the contents.)

My own boys have usually been more than happy with old socks and found objects. The exception was Seniorboy's adoration of a small floppy eared dog toy which he could fling around and dip in his food before chewing. I conscientiously went out, sourced more of the specific type (from the States they were) and bought a job lot.

Did he want them? He did not. He held true to the increasingly moth eared brown and white dog which has now been washed so many times that it's almost transparent - and I'm left with a bag of flipping small dogs/ cats/ other assorted animals down in the laundry.

I'd walk on by.

I see your point! My boy is happy with his oldest ball, kitchen roll etc. and pretty much ignores new toys!

I think I just got excited and want to treat him. I was looking at the CatHampurr ones.

Just had a look at the website, and I love the photos of the cats with their excited noses in the newly arrived hamper, "Is that for MEEE!!" Grin

I just had a look & I think Groupon are doing an offer on paw post if you are going to try it

£11.95 a month plus £3.95 postage.....

Its a no from me

(I spend £20 a month on two cats and two dogs in poundland on treats and toys, that £5 each on exactly what they like and what they will play with)

My boy would tell you nothing is better than his pink sparkly fluffy ball that he has had for four years. He turfs all the other toys out the box to find it. He would sneer at a new box each month, unless of course it was all pink sparkly, fluffy balls.

I love the advertising, "a way to make your cat feel special".

Like they need help feeling entitled.

I've just forked out a tenner on a new type of cat brush for Mr Cory's fur knots.

He was so pleased with it that his eyes went crossed, his tail shot up, he slapped me in the face and bolted.
