If your cat poos or vomits on the carpet, what do you use to make sure it's properly clean afterwards?

We use something like this although ours was bought a few years ago and is a black bottle. Still by Bissell though.
Seems to get cat vom stains up better than the vanish carpet / upholstery spray we used previously. Never tested on poo as our cats do pretty firm turds so no residue left behind (though we still cleaned the location...). Haven't found anything that always it up absolutely 100% though apart from a proper carpet cleaning machine. But you would only notice it if you knew where it happened and looked hard, and often after hoovering so the pile is all going the same way, you can't tell. (This was on a heathery beige carpet though, perfect for pet stains...)

Thanks Moggle, I'll take a look at that. The poo was more of a bum-shuffle up the hallway, so more of a long skidmark. I'd just finished cleaning it up as best I could when he decided to spew there too. I made DH take his turn for that one Grin.
Meanwhile, I wonder if there's anything anyone can recommend that I can get from the supermarket tonight?

Biological laundry powder or liquid works fine

I also use dilute white vinegar if cat wee is involved

Had to do a fair bit of cleaning up after my now-departed old cats, but the current younger model is less trouble Smile

Simple Solution from Pets at Home is also good.
