The litter tray

First vacs, tired and subdued, normal?

Our 9wk old ginger tom had his first vacs this morning, he has been not at all himself this afternoon, no playing, lots of sleeping, no energy.

He looks very sorry for himself. He is generally uber confident and has short bursts of intense play between long naps. Didn't like going in car but didn't seem unduly worried about vet

Is this normal?

Whenever our cats have jabs the vet warns us they might be a bit subdued for the rest of the day - so I think it sounds fine.

I have a dog but imagine it's the same. I was told he'd be subdued. As was DD when she had hers Grin

Ha yes, just like a baby :)

He's all shaky - but managed some fish. Not purring though

Hope he's back on form tomorrow, I can't take the worry!

Shaky in what way? Does he seem happy with cuddles?

Shivery shaky, had cuddles on me all afternoon, now has little cuddles then drags himself onto blanket on back of sofa, he wants to be left alone, I'm having momma guilt and want to hold him

Yes it's normal. They do go quiet and withdrawn.

It passes.

Poor thing Hmm

I don't know about the shaking but the rest sounds normal. Maybe call out of hours vet to see if that's a normal symptom Grin

Return to full furry puffy menace this morning, never thought I'd be so glad to be used as a climbing frame :)
