Kitten has not come home

Our kitten is only 5 months and he plays in the front and back garden.

I have been working Late and DH said he wouldn't come in as he was playing with another cat - went straight out looking for him and I can't find him :(

This is our first cat and I'm really worried :( he's been chipped already, which I suppose is a plus.

Don't know what I'm asking really, just worrying while DH is out looking!

Sorry to hear that, it's horrid when you're worried about them :( If it's any consolation, my 7yo cat did that when she was young and newly outside. I was so worried, walked round the block calling for her, sat awake looking out of all the windows all night (I was pregnant so perhaps more emotional than I needed to be) and then she turned up begging for food in the early hours. Hope he's OK and turns up soon for you.

Has he been neutered?.

If you go out with a torch it reflects their eyes, he might be hiding in a bush.

That is exactly what I have just been doing! I managed to look like the pied piper of catsville as all the other cats came to my calls...just not little Eugene :(

I feel so awful for him if he's lost.

The neighbour has cats and a cat flap... I'm wondering if he's got in there as she's on holiday and unable to chuck him out Confused

He hadn't been neutered, yet. He's booked in for next week.

He normally comes running when I call him in from the garden

Ok, have you got a flap? When you get him back do not let him out again 2 weeks post op so that the testosterone has time to leave his body & he loses the roaming instinct.

He's home - with a matted tail and a glint in his eye.

100 % indoor til he gets neutered.

Phew
