Found a kitten!!!

Please help dunno what to do. Typing with him on my chest. He's a farm kitten. What do I do? How old would people say he is? He's crying!

And he's soaking. He was on the farm yard meowing like hell. So technically I've stolen him but landlord drowns kittens

Offer some wet food mixed with warm water from the kettle.

Don't know fluffy. There was no other cats around. Have I done wrong thing in picking him up? I couldn't have left him it was pouring. Thanks for food tip

He does look very young. No advice I'm afraid. In your position I would ring a local vets for advice - they would be able to recommend what type of food/milk to give.

Well he needs food and warmth. Has he got fleas?

Have you looked for the mother- that would be best for the kitten. Is he able to lap up milk or lick it off your finger? If not , you'll have to use a pipette or syringe (minus the needle!) to put milk straight into his mouth.

Is he moving about? He looks from your photo like he's a bit poorly. Are his eyes matted at all?

Can you send someone out for some kitten milk? I agree with random, Call the local vet and see what they suggest.

I'd put him inside your clothing next to your skin to help him warm up and to help him feel safe.

I'd have picked him up too, you can't just leave it outside in the rain.

For some reason mums not there, which is odd.

We once found a newborn abandoned kitten and got some kitten milk from the vet which came with a tiny bottle complete with teat! She needed feeding frequently day (and night) but she thrived!

Genius fluffy about the food. He lapped the warm meat juice off the spoon like a shot and had a good go eating the small chunks. Got it all over my chest and top tho. He's not yowling now. Oh and it's a she! Excuse stilted typing, she's a wriggler.
Mum defo wasn't around and much as I love kittens I obviously wouldn't steal one away from it's mum.

You said that the LL usually drowns kittens. Perhaps he has already done away with the rest of the litter and mum? Very strange that this one was out all on its own though

Have no evidence, just what my neighbour told me, so perhaps I shouldn't have stated it ass fact sorry. He's defo known for not getting vet dare where needed with his lambing sheep, etc. should I ring him about this litte kitten do ppl think?

Difficult without perspective but I'd guess about 2-3 weeks old. How's he doing?

No definitely don't ring him. And you don't need evidence to contact the RSPCA. The fact that he has cats having kittens is enough. And you can tell them that you suspect he might be dispatching them. At least they should then go and have a word and hopefully arrange neutering.

You need to get him to a vet really to be assessed or if you don't want to keep him phone the Cat Protection or cat rescue for your area. They will help you.

Keep her warm (next to your skin if in doubt) and try to get her eating and pooing/weeing, stimulating and cleaning as necessary. Do you have a kindly (and open) local vets or cat rescue that you could get some kieen food from?

Right, thanks for all this helpful advice. I'm going to ring CPL to see what they say also express concerns about the feral cat situation. I've holed myself up in the spare room and got the little baby with me.
I think she's closer to 4 or five weeks as she's got teeth (nipped me!) and can walk quite confidently. She has currently perched herself under the storage heater. I hope she is ok, probs a bit overwhelmed. She had a good go with the mashed food I gave her. I've set up a box with a lowered side and a fuzzy blanket so she can come and go, but cannot find my hot water bottle.

Even a week or two older is good at that age - and I think she looks a feisty wee thing from the pics. I'd say Minnie Mouse form her colouring - but she's a cat so will have to be a Minnie the Minx.

Have Snowers and Scabbers shown any interest in noises or smells?

Well, due to getting her in so quickly as it was pouring, snowy was introduced rather quickly and there was some hissing. He's shown a keen interest but is quite reserved. I'm keeping him out of the spare room though so Newbie can rest without stress. My usual vet isn't answering, annoyingly!
Oh god, she's stepped in her food.
What she seems to be doing is sucking the water I've added to the met and then licking up the actual meat. Is this sufficient hydration? Also, can you tell me about stimulating her so she poos! Or do I just wait til she does?
Oh she's come back for a cuddle! She is BEAUTIFUL!
