Raw food diet?

Was wondering if anyone feeds their cats a raw food diet? My cats love raw meat and I do give them a bit now and again.

What do you feed your cat? How much and how often? If you feed raw food, do you have any recommendations?

There was a poster on here who fed raw, it's very popular on bengal cat forum.

You can't take half measures with it though, it's just chopping up raw chicken and feeding that three times a day.

If you get it wrong and the cat isn't getting enough taurine it can be fatal.

Thank you. Looks like I've got a significant amount of research to do!

My 5yr old girl is a greedy tubby cat who we love dearly but I do need to help her lose weight - a vet recommended a raw diet (not my usual vet) and left it at that. Scary really as I could have just swapped to raw meat without knowing anything at all.

I'm not against raw feeding & I think it will take off in a big way. There's frozen raw food in pets at home stores but its for dogs.

The posters on bengal cat forum would love to tell you ALL about it they scare me a bit.

I do raw feeding. I occasionally give the odd tin of good quality cat food, not the stuff you get in the supermarket/corner shop. can send you a recipe if you like?
