It's called Broadline. New style of applicator should make it much easier to give. Pricing looks good too. Very exciting.
I spent my whole day in lectures about lovely cats.

PS - did they confirm that it will cover all worms rather than just tapeworm?

It covers round and tapeworm, including the larval stage of the toxacara in kittens. They are saying that if we place an order by 5pm tomorrow we will have it on Monday.

I'm very interested in it. Did they mention any contra-indications while you were there? (I appreciate you may not have had time to absorb the scads of literature yet.) I'm thinking selfishly here - in fact of my own boy who is most elderly now and would probably be better being hit by one product regularly than two.

It has no alcohol carrier so has less of the problems associated with traditional spot ons.

I can't find anything about it on UK websites yet, but loads in NZ. If the price they are quoting in NZ$ is translated accurately into £ then it's definitely going to be very competitive. If it's £11 a month or less then I'll be asking for it (as the Program/Drontal we currently have is about that, and needs a stressful vet visit and a silly amount of tuna ).

It is brand spanking new in the UK launched only on Thursday. In my practice a six pack is going to be around £32, so about £5.50 per month. It is ever so slightly cheaper than advocate and every 6 months a tapeworm tablet which obviously doesn't give you tick cover.

Monthly application as standard then? Saves having to work out the weeks to avoid chemical overload with more than one product.

And that is a thumpingly competitive price.

I do have another really fab thing that I saw. Sureflap now have a cat bowl that only opens for the correct microchip and if another chip enters the area it closes the bowl. The actual food bowl is dishwasher safe.
Great to stop the dog eating the cats food, if you have one cat on a special diet etc. Not cheaper, but over about 4 months cheaper than feeding more than one cat a special diet unnecessarily.

Yes there were many other great things to. I spent a whole day listening to an amazing cat vet called Vanessa Barr who I then met on the dance floor on Friday night (we work hard and play hard). 31 hours of lectures in the last 4 days and shopping too.

And the \link{http://www.sureflap.co.uk/products/details/28-microchip-pet-feeder\microchip cat feeder} has finally made it to the Sureflap website -although it's not quite available yet. It's a heck of a price but I guess that if you need it.............. It also looks like quite an involved piece of kit.

Maybe the thing to do is to keep an eye on other online prices. (The Sureflap website itself seems to be more expensive than some other online sources for eg catflaps.) And they might always have introductory offers.

Actually, it's occurred to me that (maybe, just maybe) it could be added on to an insurance claim if it could be proved that it was a required and valid delivery system for a medically required diet - if you had insurance.

Insurance is not my strong suit, however, so I simply throw the thought out for consideration by other posters.
