I ended up taking a female cat in 6 weeks ago & it wasn't until 2 weeks ago I noticed she were pregnant as she is long haired so hid it well blush

I have an idea of what to do etc as had a pregnant cat a while ago .

She has taken root in a chair thank god its leather & won't move for food or anything , Oh and my 4 cats are on guard which is a bit odd

I got her a small DG cage and made it in to a safe space for her iyswim , though she hasn't been near it .

So is their a way I could possibly be sure that she is in labour without been invasive etc ?
Or should I just leave her be and check on her in a bit ?

How's she doing?

Oh - and something to read while you're waiting. (Including the link towards the end.)

she is most definitely in labour though it does look like its going to be a long one , so its just the beginning of things .
Just been to check on her and she is still rooted to the chair & my 4 boys are all squashed in to the nice cosy pen I put together for her hmm

I can feel the kittens & they are huge , their is at least two grin
I have left her locked in for the night with fresh food/water & a sneaky bit of milk to try and tempt her to have something .
I'll be checking on her every hour <glues eyes open>

Wish me luck & thanks for the link Cozie

How's she doing Crazy? I hope she's not had much trouble if they are big kits.

This takes me back to my childhood! My Mum used to foster cats and we had a number of pregnant ones, I'd forever be waking up to a little mewing litter somewhere random. smile

I hope she's ok Crazy. thanks

ooh, how exciting! Have you thought about putting in some more solid tasty treats, like dreamies or a bit of tuna? If she's anything like the rest of us, she might be feeling a little picky!
I'm also unsure of how to handle it, although I'm sure if you just keep an eye on her, it'll be fine.
If it's any consolation, when I was about 5 or 6, my dad hand made our Yorkie a box with rails to give birth in, but she ended up choosing my bed! Cue me, going to my dad's room in the morning and saying 'Kylie's done a poo on the bed!' (This was before Kylie Minogue, btw, she was named because she kept returning like a boomerang!) And of course, when my dad went to look, there was a litter of squealing puppies on the bed! :D

She had 3 not so little kittens within the space of ten minutes at 4.37am .
She didn't struggle at all and they are now all sleeping .

I would add pics but my phone is refusing to upload them <annoyed>
