My poor girl has to be put to sleep today.

I'm breaking my heart, poor thing is only 5 months old.

She has kidney failure which is not going to get better but worse.

Thanks for the support in my other threads.

Oh no, Had. It was looking so promising as well. Has she gone downhill suddenly?

Poor wee lass. She'll likely have had potentially dodgy kidneys right from the start - but that's no consolation to you at this moment.

Oh, how sad. Poor you.
My darling pussycat succumbed last week to kidney failure, at the more advanced age of 15. That he went down so fast and didn't suffer (he just went to sleep in his basket) is a real comfort to me.
Remember the good times.

Darling Twoago, a wise wise cat, will be waiting for her on the other side of the Bridge, Had. He'll see her all right.

Thank you all.

Haven't stopped crying today. My daughter took it well I explained that the vets gave her a special medicine to send her the heaven to be a star, she waited until bedtime went out side and said goodnight have fun in kitty heaven.

My son is very upset which is breaking my heart as I have never really seen him cry before.

I'm upset also and I suspect I'm not the only one. I really thought she had a chance.

Take care of yourself and the others at that end. Thinking of you.

Oh she's so beautiful.!! I'm really sorry for the loss of your cat it's one of the saddest parts of life to have your beloved pets put to sleep. Take comfort in the love and devotion you gave her and in the fact you spared her from her pain. It's the kindest and last act of love we get to give.

Sweet dreams precious kitten. Xx

No I can't bear to do it yet.

Thinking about getting another kitten, not as a replacement but to offer another kitten a chance of a happy and loving home.

Not feeling too good today, need sleep after the DC had a very restless night.

I think you need to steel yourself to do it, Had. Hard though it may be now, it will get worse as the days go by.

It took me a few months to sort out my little cat's things, she was only 8 and had to be pts suddenly with stomach cancer last October. I still cry now thinking about it and miss her a lot.
I recently got a new cat who I adore, not as a replacement but because I wanted to give another animal a loving home. It's been helpful for us all to have a new cat to get to know, and give love and cuddles.
