It's New Year's Day the beginning of a new month and financials are being run on last month. We have been running a scheme in combination with CPL where if you meet certain qualify criteria you could have your cat neutered for £5. We advertised on Facebook and have really dredged the barrel - we spayed at 12 year old cat who had been a kitten making machine.
Well the numbers are in, in December we neutered 50 cats, now if the other 3 practices involved did the same number that is 200 less cats in our little town making kittens.

That's wonderful Lonecat. You should feel very proud.

I know you neuter far more cat neuterer, but all 4 practices have taken a very altruistic view, we have made no money from this literally just covering costs. It has given me a chance to do more neutering as I usually only do more complex surgeries now so it has been quite nice to feel I can allow my nurses to listen to radio 1 whilst we operate - I can't concentrate on complex surgery if there is a heavy beat.
Hey ho back to high risk complex stuff next month.

Is the scheme still running or did you just do it for December?

Sadly the scheme was total specific to my town our local branch did an enormous amount of fund raising to facilitate it and it ended on the 31st of December.
Most CPL branches offer some help with neutering if you are on benefits and sometimes head office can help.
