The litter tray

What can I feed my kittens?

Hi - we have kittens, have had them around 3 months now. We started feeding them sanabelle kitten dry food, which they liked at first, and were eating fine, along with a pouch of wet food from Aldi every evening. However, they then stopped eating the Aldi food and eat barely anything of the dry food. We tried butchers choice, as I heard it was good for them with no grain - they started eating that with gusto - but now, all they do with this, and any other food, is to lick the gravy or jelly off and leave the meat!

I am constantly scooping out the dried out licked remains of bowls of food and throwing it away - we are on the last of the pouches and tins now, also tried a pate type food, but they barely eact that either. They do eat the dried, but such a small amount for how active they are (up the curtains etc!) so I am worried they aren't getting enough - our cat before this was an old lady with a tiny appetite, so not sure how much they should be having.

At first I am sure they were eating more - we were getting through about two pouches a day, which is why I tried the butcher choice tins.

Do they need wet food? should I just leave the dry food out and see if they will eat it when hungry enough? I know they like it.

It sounds like they are fussy and like variety.

Try alternating different foods so they don't get bored.
