My neutered black tom has been bitten , the wound opened up so we had to take him to the vet again. Is there any way we can stop this? It will be the 3rd time he's had to go and a third lot of antibiotics ect.
This time though it's such a nasty wound he has to wear a cone collar and he is not a happy cat. Also he is refusing to use the litter tray, last night he managed (how we don't know) to get out of the cat flap!
It's been 3 days now and the wound is healing. Can he go out to the loo if I go with him? I'm worried he will get a bladder infection.

You mean he's only peed once in 3 days? Is he eating and drinking, lollilou ? (I'm wondering about the effect of his cone.)

Oh - and what kind of flap do you have and is there any possibility that his opponent could get into the house?

he has had the cone on since Wednesday night and as he got out last night I'm pretty sure he peed and pooed then.
He is eating and drinking although it's not easy for him poor thing.
The cat flap is not locked but we don't think another cat is getting in.
