Going away overnight, approx 6pm tonight until 12pm tomorrow. Can't find the feckin pop-up feeder. Have a ravenous 1yo and a usually crunchies only (by choice) 8yo.

Went out for 6hrs last week to find 3 empty bowls and a shredded food waste bag (someone clearly very hungry but didn't get into it.) nobody feasibly able to pop in (except DSD who due to an attempted stealth sleepover with a random fellow 16yo boy last wk, we are not allowing to stay over alone Grin)

Little lad has cat flap ishoos so won't be getting out overnight.

What would you leave out for them, food wise?

  • Disclaimer: I'm not being PFC, I've had hunners of little furballs, I just fret. Smile

You still have over 4 hours to find the feeder - although in my experience, you'll only remember precisely where it is half an hour after you leave the house. (Sod's Law.)

Otherwise, wet food (for immediate eating) dried food (for later noshing) and loads of water.

And if they run out for a few hours ? It won't do them any real harm.

PS - or could you quickly engage a cat sitting firm for just one attendance - tomorrow breakfast? There are loads around. (Google.)

Thanks, Cozie. Yes, I will still hunt for the feeder but I suspect it's either in the loft or the spider haven, walk in cupboard referred to as Narnia. It may at DMs but she says she's sure she hasn't got it.

DP continually rips the piss out of my overprotectiveness so I won't go for a cat feed visit. Grin

I shall go for 4 wet, 2 huge crunchies and 2 bowls water and get drunk at the party and try not to worry.

Do you have any younger DCs? A modest bribe to find the cat feeder might be useful.

Nope, just DSD ATM. DP may respond well to a bribe, however! Grin
