The litter tray

What daft things do your cats get up to?

My old cat used to sit so close to the fireplace that she would start smouldering. She didn't do this once. It was repeated behaviour. There would be smoke coming from her tail and she would be sniffing the air wondering what the smell was.
Needless to say when the fire was on she was only allowed in the room under supervision!

One of my current cats loves to be swept. If I get the broom out she will lay in front of it waiting to be swept around the room. She never tires of this!

Squishes herself onto a tiny windowledge to sleep, with her bum and tail overhanging. When she has the choice of three human's beds and 4 of her own. Hmm

My lovely old cat was very naughty when young. He would zoom up the chimney and sit in the bend in the chimney where we couldn't reach him. Then jump down later tracking soot through the house.

When we popped round to our neighbours for a drink he used to sit on the outside windowsill staring in accusingly and miaowing. He once climbed out of our bedroom window, across the front of the houses and in our neighbours bedroom window to get to us. ( we were having a super evening playing boggle, or something). We put him out again. When our neighbour went upstairs later, he was curled up asleep on her bed!

Cat 1 follows me to the shop, much to other customers surprise when they see a cat at the window.

The other cat has just tried to launch himself through an upstairs window and was quite put out when he was forcibly removed from said window. Has anyone ever had a cat jump out of an upstairs window? Just wondering if its survivable Hmm

My kitten likes to chase flies buzzing around the window. But he does it from the wrong side of the net curtain so he jumps up and instead of grabbing a fly, grabs the net curtain and rips it. It's a right state now.

One of our girls is obsessed with catching moths at the moment, unfortunately they are all on the other side of the window so she gets very confused when she bats them and nothing happens. She launches herself from half way across the room at the windowsill.

One of mine was playing on the outside windowsill upstairs and predictably fell off. He was fine, just busily pretended it hadn't happened.

I have just got 2 new babies (my twins).

I swore I would never get another cat after I lost 2 within 6 months of each other :( However it has been 16 months now so felt ready broody to get another one.

I forgot how completely bonkers they are Grin with 2 of them flying about it is mayhem, one will sit one side of the floor length curtains and one will sit at the other side, they will spend hours attacking each other through the curtain! One of them is quite daft really , it gets tired and will just stop what it is doing and sleep, it does not care at all where (in doorways, on the stairs, in its litter tray) I think it has Narcolepsy.

boysrock my Houdini of a kitten went out of my bedroom window Shock I am assuming he landed on a sun lounger - no broken bones etc.

I am dreading letting him out - he has lost two lives whilst confined to the house (pre jabs) - god knows what he'll get up to outdoors!

He attacks the stairs, somehow he manages to roll off them and fall a couple of stairs before grabbing onto the carpet with his claws.

If we moved to a bungalow he'd be gutted.

My lovely old moggy looooved tinsel! She'd go potty as soon as the Christmas decs box came out, lurking ready to pounce at the slightest rustle. After chasing it round the room until we got bored dragging it about for her, she'd bed down on top of as much of it as she could and chew bits off and spit them out! Oh I miss her Sad

I fostered two cats ages ago and I live in a bungalow. After a few months I delivered them back to their original owner (some housing problems, couldn't keep them short term) they saw stairs.

They had spent two months ignoring each other, now they ran to the top, meowed, ran to the bottom meowed, ran half way up and had a discussion with each other.

I have never seen two cats so happy.
