Best flea treatment?

Usually use Effipro or Frontline both with good results - have never seen evidence of fleas on her.
Considering Program injection as it's every 6 months so don't have to do it monthly.

Any recs please?

Off for shower but will check back later, thanks.

Effipro and frontline are the same product they are adulticide so just kill adult fleas.
Program prevents the flea larvae from developing and does not kill live adult fleas. It is very good for indoor cats if your cat goes outside you will probably see live fleas.
The very best control is from a product that kills adult fleas and larvae frontline combo and advocate both do this.

I'd recommend the Seresto collar (assuming your cat will wear a collar). We had a houseful of fleas, 2 weeks of the collar and they had all disappeared. It lasts about 6 months so works out a bit cheaper than Frontline etc too.

......(assuming your cat will wear a collar).......

Well that's a big one, BedHog. I've never had a cat who didn't regard wearing a collar as a resignation issue. I'll just stick with the spot-on.

Seresto is really good - one of my cats is a proficient collar- loser, but he's kept these on. They are supposed to have a sensible breaking strain for safety, and that seems to be true (I experimented on their old ones when they came off). Collar-losing cat is the flea-allergic one, perhaps deep down he realises the collar is the lesser evil?

Not keen on collars tbh, but will use the Frontline combo.

I've found Advocate and stronghold to be better than frontline

Im a fan of alternating frontline combo and advocate.
And then spraying the house once a year. When I say fan, I don't enjoy the process. .

We had a big flea problem with our semi outdoor cats. Recently had the program injection and used effipro once and the fleas have officially gone! Oh we did a big spray as well after the injections. I'd recommend it though it was pricey!

Are effipro and frontline the same product? The only reason i ask is we gave our boy effipro on two occasions and each time he developed a small bald spot at the treatment area! Never happens with frontline. Needless to say, we've been sticking to frontline since.

We got stuff from the vet which worked brilliantly. We have not noticed any fleas for a couple of years now!
