Raw food for cats?

Can you feed cats raw food (like dogs?)

Yes, it can be done but it needs doing carefully to preserve Taurine.

If they don't get enough taurine it eventually kills them, there was a study on raw feeding in the US that got halted when too many cats developed heart conditions and died.

Also dont forget a dogs more adaptable than a cat.

Dog=non-obligate carnivore
Cat= obligate carnivore.

I'm not necessarily planning on doing it, just got me thinking that if I had a dog I would love to raw feed, and I have three cats it would be cheaper to do it - if it's possible!

My cat loves raw meat, I sneak him tit bits now and then.

You can buy frozen raw diets with everything they need too, I don't know how much it is though.

Bengal cat forum does a lot about raw feeding, they are a bit too fervent for me though, I don't like the accusations that feeding tinned is tantamount to abuse. If he could talk he'd say locking him in the conservatory overnight and not letting outside after 8pm was abuse.
