Cat sitter around Warwickshire or Guildford?

Could anyone recommend a cat sitter around Warwickshire or Guildford?

I don't think I'll be able to take my lovely boy back for Christmas, so I'll need to drop him off somewhere for around five days.

He's very friendly, cuddly and generally well-behaved. I'm petrified of leaving him, so I'd like someone who could update me occasionally.

Are you talking about a cattery, Caja? (I wasn;t sure from your post whether you meant in you own home or not.) Perhaps you could talk to your vet and see if they know of one they could recommend ?

I'm not sure if he'd like a cattery, or if he'd prefer one of those people who looks after cats in their own home?

I have to admit, I'm lost. I've never left my cats anywhere before. He's like my baby Blush but it looks like I need to sort something out.

I don't have any friends who I could pay to have him, but I could phone his vets and ask. I'll do that now, thank you.

If you google 'cat sitters in warwickshire' or 'pet sitters in warwickshire', caja you'll get loads of hits. There are plenty of them out there. Your vet might still be a good port of call though unless you can get a personal recommendation.

How far out of warwickshire could you go? I know there is a FAB approved cattery in solihull but I take him to one in staffordshire that is also FAB approved.

You might be a bit late for catteries. If you look on the Feline Advisory Board website there is a list of catteries they have checked.

My cats fine in them and he's bag of nerves with strangers usually. He just ignores them for however long he is in there. He came back last time mimicing the cutest little siamese/oriental type cat in the next pen. We spend a fortnight telling to miaow normally, he must have been sitting there thinking that miaows sooo much cooler than mine Smile

If I didn't have Madam Misty I'd have him. He sounds great.

We use Animal Nannies in Kilsby, Northamptonshire. They are right on the edge of Warwickshire and visit your pets in their own home while you are away. They also do little jobs like putting out the bins and taking in post, watering plants, etc. We've used them for years and never regretted it once.
