I really need some advice. I have always been mildly allergic to cats and am asthmatic, but had cats throughout my childhood - I think daily exposure increased my resistance
I'm now 39 and have have cats the for past 10 years, but have had less contact with them (now just one cat) over past 3.5 yrs, since my kids were born.
I'm now finding it hard to cope with my one lovely cat, I get blocked nose, sneezing, itchy running eyes and slightly wheezy just from a few minutes with my cat on my lap.
She is lonely without affection from her brother (who went missing 6 months ago) and from me, despite the 'love' she gets from the kids (both under 4) and I am unwell.
Do I look into possibly rehoming her, to give her a better life with more affection and cuddles? She is such a sweet natured girl, strangely wheezy (have spent thousands to be told they don't know why!), but so affectionate and loves people. But I just can't give her what she needs.
I am feeling so guilty.
