The litter tray

Settling in hand-reared kittens...

I have already had some great advice on here when contemplating getting kittens.

I went to the cat home yesterday and decided on 2 gorgeous half bengal kittens (a brother and sister combo)

As they are only 6 weeks, I'm not picking them up for a couple more weeks.

Unfortunately their mother died when they were only a couple of weeks old and therefore have been hand reared.

Obviously they are used to a lot of human contact but I wondered if there was any particular way to help them settle in? And should they not be left alone until they are properly settled?

Thank you for any help you can give me.

i hand reared 3 of my 4 cats as their mum died when they were 3 weeks old, they are all a year old now, kittens tend to settle in quite quickly, i would spend a few days off with them getting them used to their new surroundings, where their food and litter tray is etc, lots of playing and cuddles are the order of the day ;), they sound adorable have fun with your new kittens x

my biscuit was hand reared from ten days old and hand reared cats are more in tune with humans but can be over confident so look out for swiping at fingers and toes and try to stop them early
