The litter tray

How long will they moult for?

My two boys seem to be losing their fur. Not in patches and not noticibly, but a lot of it is rolling around the floor in drifty balls.
Presumably it's because the weather is getting better. How long does it go on for?
The last time I had a cat, I lived in Muscat and it's one long summer season there. No coat adjustment needed.

Same here.
Will they end up bald?

If they do Pinot, mine will be donors. Both fur and heart if you like.

Sorry to break it to you, but my 3 moult all year round i have to sweep the floors daily.

I could have stuffed 100 quilts by now with the amount i've swept/hoovered up Grin

Also keep an eye on your electricals clumps of fur will congregate near to the wires/plugs because of the static

It doesn't get any better!!

I knew there would be more to it than sweeping. Since we don't have many appliance it shouldn't be too difficult to track down every ball of fur before the parents arrive.
They have been noticibly losing down more fur in the last fortnight.

Yep, it's the time of year where my two are leaving what I call bits of hairy 'tumbleweed' all over the stair carpet and other available floor areas.

The furminator is my friend especially at this time of year, so satisfying to see the amount of dead undercoat hair in the tissue at the end of the session, knowing that's one less lot of hair I'll have to hoover up :)

I always say to my two that I could have crafted myself another 10 cats by now with all the hair that comes off of them (and they're just shorthair moggies!)
