Names for a young black male cat

Who is very, very soppy, gives kisses and like his tummy tickled.

Current name is Jet but I might change it.

He may be a Parker or a Robin or a Norman or a Nigel.

But not sure what do you think?

We've had 2 black cats.

BC1 was Ace as in Ace of Spades
BC2 is Licorice. Treacle was also mentioned as a possibility for BC2 but DH worked with a guy who had that nickname, so it was vetoed.

Our much loved black cat was named Inky by the DCs other suggestiona at the time included Midnight, Twilight and Velvet. Recently we have been through a Harry Potter phase and DD has said that she wished she had thought of Sirius or Regulus at the time.

aww we have a silly, young black cat who sounds like yours!

we went thru a few names. I think it's really hard to name a black cat, and i don't like those 'black cat names'.

Jet is a bit boring. We called him Jasper because he had golden jasper eyes. BUT we have since changed it, only becuase it sounded very similar to the name of our other cat and they got confused! Jasper also means 'treasure holder' which we liked.
