Hi all. Smile

I am definitely a dog person, but have always had cats as well. I love cats, but am not keen on kittens, my cats have always been rescues. I stupidly fell for the sob story became aware of an abandoned feral kitten my colleague picked up a few weeks ago, and somehow agreed to give her a home.

Long story short, as a little scrap of life, she got cat flu. She wasn't supposed to live. She was abandoned at 4 weeks old by her mum, was hand reared by my colleague then got cat flu at 5 weeks. She was literally the size of a hamster when I saw her.

So on to the good news Smile

She is now 7 weeks, she has a name (Elsie! Grin) is free of snot and eye discharge and I get to take her home in a week as she ate her way through her cat flu and has put on weight!

She just needs to be introduced to my 6 month old lab nd 18 yo cat now Smile

My husband handreared a kitten in similar circumstances, with cat flu, from 5 weeks old (husband is a vet).

Kitten grew into the most loving and affectionate cat we've ever had. Sadly had to put him to sleep last year at the age of 16.

All the best to you and enjoy your new kitten!
